In the garden you can find a vast collection of statues that date back to the 16th century, fountains and oak trees that are a hundred years old! Go up the staircase to marvel at the amphitheatre connected to the hill behind the Palace, and take a look at the Egyptian obelisk placed in the middle.

Next you will go inside the Buontalenti Grotto, decorated with Mannerist architecture and once home to The Prisoners by Michelangelo. Today it is visitable in the Accademia Gallery.

Michelangelo had built the walls of the Giardino del Cavaliere in 1529, and still remain intact to this day! Nearby there is the Porcelain Museum, where rare examples of Italian and foreign porcelain are preserved.

Reach the “Isolotto”, the large pond, through a steep trail lined by trees. Later go next door to the gardens of Villa Bardini, surrounded by the protective walls built in the Medieval age. Keep walking up and enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Florence from a high point. You will remain speechless!
